Be Still, Move Fast
I love activities that require you to be still but allow you to move fast:
Snowboarding through powder
Foiling across the water
Biking down mountains
Standing inside waves
Driving off the road
Kiting with the wind
Gliding in thermals
What these activities do to you
In each case, you can reach a state where your body is totally still
But everything around you is going faster & faster & faster & faster
If you have never tried any of these activities, I strongly recommend them
They require you to find internal peace in order for you to process external reality
Any failure to do so results in INSTANT INJURY
A good test for any mindset is nature’s challenges:
Gravity pulls your down
Waves hold you under
Wind pushes you over
At their essence, sports that require you to explore nature, force you to explore your own nature
