1 Key Point: With a little practice, meditation can induce states of bliss that feel as good as some of the best drugs available to man.
I have never heard anyone say this.
I have been a very on-and-off practictioner of meditation. It always got pushed off the schedule when I was working like an inferno.
I have always been curious about the benefits of meditation but had never attained any meaningful progress.
I even made a meditation app called Sit:

I Sat & Created Waves of Pleasure in My Brain
The best images I can find to capture what happened is this particular wave:
It felt like I was creating waves of sugary light that gave my muscles total relaxation. It felt similar to the times I have consumed 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA or Ecstasy).
Feeling this amazing did not require a drug, it required concentration of attention & an awareness this was possible.

Kitesurfing is Meditating
A big unlock for me has been a re-appreciation of what kitesurfing does to my thinking. I am literally one with nature. I am incentivised to concentrate on the present moment—or face the consequences. Every time I take it in, I feel better. Breathing & moving become a singular flow.
It is meditative.
Accessing kiting as my mental infrastructure for meditation has been incredibly helpful so far. I am not great at sitting cross-legged & chanting along with a group.
I am reasonably comfortable entering the ocean with my tools & turning off my thoughts about the past or the future. I jump on the board and engage.
