🤖Personal Robots are the NeXT Personal Computers
We are on the cusp of the next revolution in human-machine interfaces
If the cost of labour is about to drop, what is the right thing to focus on?
It feels like we are on the cusp of something magical: general purpose robotics
The dream of every science fiction write has been a robot that can do our bidding.
That dream is about to become real.
Tesla is grinding on the humanoid.
Apple has shut down its car project to focus on it.
Lachy Groom, the most successful operator & investor I know, is working on Physical Intelligence, a foundation model company for robotics.

Thousands of startups around the world are popping up with slide in the decking saying:
THIS TIME IT IS DIFFERENT
Robotics used to be about controlled systems with precise commands.
It is now heading towards flexibly constructed & broadly intelligent systems that can complete complex tasks.

In a world with more robots than humans, what will matter?
I do not know, but here are a few guesses!
Land
You can build any home you want if you can afford the raw materials & space.
Taste
You can design anything you want, will it be better than the tattoos you chose?
Tribe
What will community look like if we rely on robots for our daily systems?
Taxes
How are we going to re-distribute the gains to the innumerate, illiterate & un-ergetic?
Force
How will one-man armies be re-shaped in a world of solar powered robotic warriors?
Give this video a spin:
Didn't miss Crypto.
Didn't miss AI
Won't miss Droids.
All this stuff is cool. The complex problems they’ve solved to create these are immense. But I don’t believe society is ready if we are still having stupid wars and conflicts to keep people behaving. I’m sure this technology will not be used for the greater good of humanity.
