One of the memes the Ethereum community has absorbed best is WAGMI. A meme:
That was popularized by the icon and bodybuilder Zyzz. Since its inception, it's been used in 4chan and adjacent communities to show comradery and a willingness to keep going in life. Around 2020, WAGMI began to see use inside crypto and meme stock communities as a way to show unification, with the opposite phrase, NGMI, finding use when dips occur.
What I love so much about this meme is that is incredibly inclusive. The idea is simple:
If you own any token that is not a scam and hold it for a while you are going to make money.
However, I think this meme goes much deeper and speaks to something I love so much about the Ethereum community—we want everyone to make it in every way that matters to them.
🖼 We want artists to be able to earn a decent living.
🚀 We want part-time contributors to have access to huge upside.
🗳 We want people without a voice to have access to voting infrastructure.
🏦 We want to tear down the walls of Wall St. so everyone can be a financier.
💹 We want people in economic war zones to have access to stable currencies.
How can you help someone else make it this year?
Making someone else feel better always helps you feel better
When I think about my plans for 2022, it is all about how I can push my communities harder so that they can level up:
🌊 I want the City Surf Project to help more kids get in the sea safely.
🪁 I want the kitesurfing community to invent new kinds of kites that are lighter, faster, and much safer by financing new research and development.
💠 I want the Ethereum community to embrace Safari as its default browser.
⚖️ I want everyone who works on Balance to have 12 months of savings in the bank.
When we get to 2023, who’s lives will be better because of you? I think about this a lot.
WAGMI4LIFE.ETH = Aaron Levie, CEO of Box
How a Silicon Valley Ethereum skeptic changed his mind on everything
My favourite conversation in 2021 was conducted in public with a lovely public CEO. Aaron has been a darling of Silicon Valley for making it look not easy. He is very real about the realities of starting, growing, and greying as a founder. Box, the company he founded, is in the storage cloud business. When it began, nobody believe in him and his team. They proved everyone wrong but paid a huge cost. His investors owned 5x more of the company than he did at the IPO.
He has been ripping crypto on Twitter for years. His followers loved him for it.
So I started teasing him.
Eventually he started to notice and we engaged in some jocular banter. I finally persuaded him to install Metamask:

Then I pointed him to the Ethereum Name Service so he could get some namespace on the blockchain. He went ahead and did it:

Then, like the absolute legend he is, he registered the best ENS name I have ever seen:

Silicon Valley, Wall Street, Hollywood & White House
Ethereum has the attention of the technologists, financiers, directors & politicians
The 4 centres of American life are waking up to what is happening with Ethereum. Every week, I am being contacted by the people of some very powerful people. All of them want to understand how they stand to benefit from and lose to Ethereum’s power.
These people have noticed things are changing:
🏡 Silicon Valley elites are losing out on the best homes in the Bay Area.
🤑 Wall Street bros see Sam Bankman-Fried as their new filthy money god.
🎬 Hollywood executives are bemused by journeyman artists making billions.
📣 White House hopefuls are frustrated by the growth in stable coins.
Whenever I talk to them I try to understand just how little they understand. The common theme I find among all of them is this:
Not Gonna Metamask It
NGMI = Not Gonna Make it
These people all refuse to install the tools and actually use Ethereum. They are too busy, too rich, too tired, and too arrogant. That is why they are NGMI.
Do you want to be a billionaire?
Or would you give $1,000 to 1,000,000 people?
If you want to help people create wealth, you should consider joining the Safari Wallet community. We are building tools to make Ethereum’s most affordable technology accessible everyone we can.

Maybe I am stupid, but after claiming and paying for the name cnewhall.eth, i attempted to claim some of the ens tokens and received the message that "you are not eligible for the airdrop" in big red letters. I connected with the same wallet used to purchase the name initially. have i been rugged? are you participating in a scam? or am i just too stupid to claim the ens tokens by following the (scanty) directions? and no the video is not helpful.
